Background Information:

The Topographie des terrors is another landmark well worth a visit. The site of the former Gestapo HQ is now nothing more than levelled waste ground, but little over 60 years ago, it was a place of torture and execution by the secret police. The exhibition and sheer volume of information displayed is almost too much to take in, and after almost 1 ½ hours we had seen more than enough. The Second largest part of the Berlin Wall stands next to the exhibition and severs as a poignant reminder that the Cities trouble was far from over despite the SS disappearing.
