Background Information:
I'm informed a small plaque was erected in June this year (2006) to mark the site of the Bunker, as otherwise this street would pass for any other in Berlin. Children play on the nearby playground while local residents park cars on top of the former site. Yet, despite this I cant help but think that this site is an important historical landmark that deserves preserving. Afterall, Its not up to us to start selecting what history should be remembered.
The Jewish Holocaust memorial is an impressive piece of work only a couple 100s yards from the Bunker site. Its rare to find a monument you can work around and interact with, but this certainly delivers. Once again another thought provoking place to the memory of the millions who lost their life's.
