Background Information:

Brandenburg Gate - The Gate is one of the most iconic images of Berlin. Unlike some of Germany's more recent history, the Gate it seems, is something that all Germans can be proud of, and why not. Built over 200 years ago the gate survived both world wars and the cold war to remain one of the most visited attractions in Berlin. Like many other of landmarks in Berlin it looks equally good at night, with the many illuminations around the gate helping to make it look even more impressive.
