2// Beer Hall Putsch, Munich
Hallo und willkommen!
Bavaria's state capital Munich, also saw the rise of the Nazi Party. The more important buildings and legacy of the era can still be seen to this day, with possibly the most well known of these, being the scene of the Munich Putsch. Hitlers daring putsch for power resulted in the deaths of 16 party members and several policeman, while Herr Hitler himself, traded in his lederhosen for a set of stripey pyjamas and a short stretch inside. However the seeds the NSDAP revolution had been sown and barely 10 years later, Hitler had risen to the position of Chancellor of Germany. The scene of the Munich Putsch is understandably not very well highlighted. The only plaque to be found, is located in front of the Feldherrenhalle, commemorating the four Bavarian Policeman who lost their lives on the night of the November 9th 1923.
