Hallo und willkommen! With time being of the essence we dumped our bags at the hostel and headed for the town centre. After a brief interlude at Sendlinger Tour, (Orv was hungry again), we descended on the old town square, known as Marienplatz. The centre piece of the square is the gothic looking Neues Rathaus, while the maze of Christmas market stalls spread out from it in every direction. The Munich market stalls are best known for selling Xmas Tree decorations although they also sell an abundance of Gluhwein (Mulled Wine) and Bratwurst. The later proved quite a hit, especially with Orv.
