Hallo und willkommen! Munich was the spiritual home of the NSDAP and their influence in the pre wars years is still clearly evident in certain areas. One of the most densely populated areas of Third Reich influence is the region around the Konigsplatz & Brienner Strasse. Hitlers HQ, The Brown House (braunes haus, national headquarters of the Nazi Party) and the Ehrentempel amongst other things can all be found here. Hitler's HQ is now the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Munchen (University for Music and Performing Arts, Munich), while the Ehrentempel (Temples of Honour) was demolished by the Americans in 1947.
