Hallo und willkommen! We headed west to Karlstor, one of the ancient gates to the medieval city of Munich. In front of the Karlstor was an Ice Skating rink, which was being used by young and old alike. The skaters whizzed around at speed to “Rock around the Clock” and other 1950s music while we watched on in bemusement. My only ever experience of being on the ice wasn’t a good one, (certainly a bruised one) so I thought it best to observe from a distance!
