Hallo und willkommen!
After searching for the oldest pub in Berlin we stumbled upon the area known as Nikolaiviertel. With narrow dimly streets, cobbled floors and the church square this little part of Berlin felt more like Poland than the capital of Germany. Presumably the Prussian influence is at work here. Located behind the Rathaus, off Alexanderplatz, this little part of Berlin presents a stark contrast to the open spaces on its northern side between the Palace of the Republic and the Television Tower.
